Evaporative cooling is very cheap to run and provides a solutuion to cooling your whole home relativley cheaply compared to ducted refrigerated systems which cost more to install and run but have other advantages.
They operate at their best when it is hot and dry so humind conditions mean lower performance and if not sized by an expert can be completley
ineffective in prolonged extreme heat.
Evaporative coolers cool the air by filtering hot air outside through pads on all sides of the unit which are keeped wet via a small water pump inside.
The water evaporates into the air.
The air is then forced down into the ducts running inside to roof space to each room.
The pressure created from the
cool air being forced into the room
pushes out old air via open windows or doors.
This process ensures fresh cool air being constantly cycled through the room.
You can control the way air flows in the house buy opening
or closing certain doors or windows |
